ROY MELVIN LANGWORTHY

Roy Melvin Langworthy, 92, of Dodge Center, MN passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017, at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center.

Roy was born on April 20, 1925, the son of Leslie and Ruby (Madery) Langworthy in Dodge Center, MN.

Roy graduated from Dodge Center High School. He was united in marriage to Joyce Phelps in Claremont, MN on November 22, 1943. Joyce passed away on June 14, 2012.   Roy was a member of the Gideon's International, an Ordained Deacon, served on the cemetery board, a farmer and gifted craftsman. He enjoyed reading. Roy married Fran Bell on March 28, 2015.

Roy is survived by his wife, Fran; children, Lois (Duane) Pederson, New Auburn, WI; Loretta (Theodore) Neher, Kasson, MN; Randall (Nadine) Langworthy, Dodge Center, MN; Roger (Melanie) Langworthy, Dodge Center, MN; brother, Dale Langworthy, Dodge Center, MN; sister, Marlys Delzer, Mantorville, MN; 11 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce; son, Glen Langworthy; and brother, Erwin Langworthy.

The funeral service for Roy Melvin Langworthy will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Praise Fellowship Church, 602 Central Avenue South in Dodge Center, MN with Pastor Roger Langworthy officiating.

Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2017, Praise Fellowship Church in Dodge Center and one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center, MN. Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Dodge Center is assisting with arrangements. The family prefers memorials to Gideon's International.
