Sandra Marie Johnson

Sandra Marie Johnson, 63, of Rochester, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at her home.

Sandra was born May 28, 1953 in Rochester to William and Louise (Buelt) Eich. She was a graduate of Hayfield High School and obtained her nursing degree from Riverland Community College in Austin. Sandra worked as a critical care nurse at Mayo for 17 years. Sandra loved animals, especially horses and even raised a Siberian tiger named Raja for a year. She loved talking and visiting with people and was always ready to help others. She loved to sing, dance and loved music. Sandra had a fantastic sense of humor, was very loving and had a giving heart. She had a big belief in Christ and her church and believed in the closeness of family. Above all, Sandra loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.

She is survived by her children, Jason Eich of Kentucky, Jarrod Eich of Chippewa Falls, WI, Royal (Laura) Johnson of Rochester, Matthew (Stephanie) Johnson of Eyota, Katie Johnson of Rochester; grandchildren, Alexander Eich, Charlie Wilder, Royal Johnson III, Madyson Johnson, Lucas Johnson, Ethan Boone, Lorelei and Broderick Skillman; siblings, Virginia Hoffman, Darlene (Bill) Timmerman, Dennis (Lorraine) Eich, Lynn (Mary) Eich, Luann (Jim) Hahn; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends. Sandra was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Johnson; sisters, Marilyn Eich; brothers, Luverne Eich and Gene Eich and her parents, William and Louise.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 2nd St. NE, Hayfield, MN. Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 PM Monday, January 23, 2017 at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 501 2nd St NW, Hayfield, MN with a parish prayer service beginning at 8:00 PM. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield.
