Sheilah Ann Trow, age 76, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN. She was born October 14,1948, in Auburn, NY to Ernest and Barbara (Woodhall) Beader. She was a 1966, graduate of Rochester John Marshall and went on to attend college at Mankato State University where she met Fay Trow, the love of her life. They married on June 15, 1968, at Calvary Episcopal Church in Rochester, MN and were happily married for 54 years until his passing.
Sheilah spent the first 15 years of marriage as a stay-at-home mother to her four children. In 1984, she became the owner of Debbie Lee’s Chocolate Shop in Mantorville, making the most delectable sweets you can imagine! In her later work years, she was in retail management until her retirement in 2019. Sheilah loved her childhood years living in Upstate New York and especially spending her summers at their family’s cottage on Cayuga Lake. When her family moved to Minnesota, she and her family would spend weekends on their cabin cruiser along the Mississippi River. These years played a key role in her love to be around water. Sheilah was an avid sports fan and was a constant figure in the stands cheering on her children in their many athletic events. She was an amazing cook and her favorite books to read were always cookbooks. We will all remember her for her love of TAB soda, a good glass of red wine, a bowl of fresh popped popcorn with lots of butter and salt, her very blunt honesty, her great smile and her kind heart. But her greatest accomplishment, she felt, was always her family. She taught us all…”family takes care of family”.
Sheilah is survived by her daughters Hilary Alberts, Laurie (Matt) Kelly, Lindsey (Joey) Dengler, and son Richard (Alyssa) Trow; her eight grandchildren Mac and Sydney (Troy Friedrich) Alberts, Morgan and Madison Kelly, Sam and Addie Trow, Andrew and Jackson Dengler; great-grandchildren Rylan,Frankie Faye and Riggs Friedrich; sister Pamela (Eric Kruse) Beader, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, sister Deborah (Dick) Ellingwood, and brother Gordon Beader.
