SHIRLEY ANN JOHNSON
The funeral service for Shirley Ann Johnson will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at the First Presbyterian Church, 109 Main Street East in Hayfield with Reverend Zackary Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2015, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2nd Street NW in Hayfield and one hour before the service on Tuesday.
Shirley Ann Johnson, 83, of Hayfield, MN passed away on June 5, 2015, at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield, after a short battle of cancer.
Shirley was born on September 14, 1931, the daughter of Percy and Leatha (Graves) Janes in Hayfield, MN.
Shirley was united in marriage to Raymond Johnson on December 18, 1954, in Hayfield. Raymond passed away on January 15, 2012.
Shirley was a loving mother and grandmother, member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hayfield and a Postal Clerk at the Hayfield Post Office, retiring in 1990. Shirley enjoyed her grandchildren, fishing, playing cards, baking, and spending summers on Leech Lake. Shirley also enjoyed her morning coffee with her friends.
Shirley is survived by her children, Cary (Kathy) Johnson, Mantorville, MN; Patty (Jim) Kvasnicka, Hayfield, MN; Tom (Karen) Johnson, Hayfield, MN; Steve (Kristy) Johnson, Dodge Center, MN; 12 grandchildren, and 2.5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; two brothers, Dean and Darrel Janes; two sisters, Marjorie Jacobson and Arlene Dahlen; and granddaughter, Erin. The family prefers memorials to the First Presbyterian Church or Field Crest Care Center.
