SHIRLEY MAE SHAW

The funeral service for Shirley Mae Shaw, will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at the Dodge Center United Methodist Church, 20 - 1st Street NE, Dodge Center, MN with Reverend Michelle Miller officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center.
Shirley Mae Shaw, 74, died on March 28, 2010, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.
Shirley Mae Thompson was born on September 12, 1935, the daughter of Lowell and Golda (Bjork) Thompson in Pomeroy, IA. Shirley was united in marriage to Lynn Shaw on June 17, 1956, in Pocahontas, IA. The couple moved to Dodge Center in 1958. Shirley worked at Gauerke's Gift, Dodge Center, MN; the Motor Mart, Kasson, MN; Bonanza Foods, Rochester, MN and SEMCAC in Dodge Center. Shirley was an active church member, den mother, enjoyed gardening,sewing, and most of all enjoyed her crafts.
Shirley is survived by two sons, Kevin (Cheryl) Shaw, Dodge Center, MN; Keith (Tracy) Shaw, Albert Lea, MN; one daughter, Kathy (Tim) Maiden, Buffalo, MN; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Phyllis) Thompson, Hayfield, MN; and one step-daughter, Cindy Kowalski, Rochester, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lynn in 1985; and special friend, Bob Kowalski.
Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 110 West Main Street in Dodge Center and one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.
