A memorial service for Shirley F. Worden will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 16, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church, 109 East Main Street in Hayfield, MN with Reverend Dr. Steve Robertson officiating. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2015, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2nd Street NW in Hayfield, and one hour before the service at the church on Friday.
Shirley F. Worden, 66, passed away on Sunday evening, October 11, 2015, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary's Campus.
Shirley was born on September 8, 1949, the daughter of Kenneth and June (Varpness) Monson in Marshall, MN. She graduated from high school in Echo, MN. Shirley was united in marriage to William "Bill" Worden on May 24, 1971. Shirley worked at IBM for many years and then followed her passion for animals and worked at various Vet Clinics. She enjoyed her grandchildren, baking, gardening and antiquing.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Bill Worden, Hayfield, MN; daughters, Stacy Hynes, San Francisco, CA; Bridget (Peter) Hubbard, Hudson, WI; Cassidy (Randy) Rieck, Owatonna, MN; 3 grandchildren, Cody, Abbigail, and Addison; two sisters, Linda (Larry) Moeller, Dent, MN; Brenda Larivee, Galesville, WI; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Ken Larivee.
