STANLEY ALGER ERICKSON

The funeral service for Stanley Alger Erickson will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 21, 2010, at the First Congregational UCC Church 12 2nd Street NW in Dodge Center with Reverend Jean Boese officiating. A private family interment will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester.
Stanley Alger Erickson, 84, died on August 17, 2010, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN.
Stanley was born on January 18, 1926, the son of Carl and Martha (Peterson) Erickson. He was united in marriage to Donna M. Woodward in Dodge Center. The couple first resided on a farm in Dodge County. Stanley was hired by Mayo Clinic as an animal technician, and was employed there for 41 years. Later the couple moved to Rochester, MN and then to Mantorville, MN. Stanley was a lifelong member of the First Congregational Church UCC in Dodge Center.
Stanley is survived by his wife, Donna Erickson, Mantorville, MN; daughters, Peggy (Butch) Brekke, Claremont, MN; Kathy (Michael) Niemiec, Roseville, CA; three grandchildren, Eric (Gayle) Brekke, Kansas City, MO; Adam (Lisa) Brekke, Lamar, MO; Meghan McKinley, Burlingame, CA; four great grandchildren, Luke, Laura, Taylor and Dalton Brekke; two brothers, Elmer (Helen) Erickson, Dodge Center, MN; Edwin Erickson, Kasson, MN; three sisters, Doris Vrieze, Dodge Center, MN; Deloris Rasmussen, Dodge Center; and Ada Mahnke, Kasson, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Roy and Andrew.
Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, August 20, 2010, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home 501 2nd Street NW in Hayfield MN.
