The funeral service for Steven Lynn Johnson will 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2014, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 25 South Street SW in Dodge Center, MN with Reverend Dan Johnson officiating. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center. Visitation will 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2014, and one hour before the service on Friday.
Steven Lynn Johnson, 56, passed away in an auto accident on September 20, 2014.
Steven was born on May 15, 1958, in Rochester, MN the son of Lionel and Barbara (Sackett) Johnson. Steven graduated from Dodge Center High School in 1976. He was united in marriage to Becky Schletty and later divorced. He worked for Northern Pipeline for many years. He painted for Dickie Equipment in Dodge Center, MN and then for Thiemann Construction. Steven enjoyed fishing, models, mechanical work, racing, camping, and most of all Steve enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, kids, family and friends. Even hanging out in the garage sharing some pretty good stories.
Steven is survived by his mother, Barbara (Ronald) Post, Dodge Center, MN; children, Ashley (Matthew) Hodgman, Owatonna, MN; Emily Johnson (David Buenvenida), Dodge Center, MN; Chase Johnson (Brittany Yaklich), Dodge Center, MN; siblings, Jeff (Kelly) Johnson, Dodge Center, MN; Brenda Peterson, West Concord, MN; Rick Johnson, Dodge Center, MN; Diane (Bill) Thiemann, Dodge Center, MN; Cindy Delano, Kasson, MN; special friend, Beth Wolkenhauer, Dodge Center, MN; and eight grandchildren, Noah, Kennedy, Preslee, Rylan, Patience, Tristan, Talon, and Paeden. He was preceded in death by his father; one brother; and one infant daughter, Sarah in 1982.
