The funeral service for Susan Kay Collett will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 2nd Street NW in Hayfield, MN with visitation from 12:00-1:00 P.M.
Susan Kay Collett, 64, died Thursday morning, January 21, 2010, at Kenyon Sunset Home in Kenyon, MN.
Susan Kay Davis was born the daughter of Donald and Grace (Kelsey) Davis on May 27, 1945, in Albert City, IA. Susan attended Hayfield schools. She was united in marriage to Dwight Collett on January 1, 1990, in Austin, MN. She was a homemaker and later worked for hospital and care facilities, and also with her husband driving trucks. She enjoyed horses and gardening.
Susan is survived by her husband, Dwight Collett, Austin, MN; daughter, Denise (James) Mahaffey, Tuscan, AZ; two grandchildren, Nicole and Natalie Mahaffey; two brothers, Donald (Cynthia) Davis, Farmington, MN; Richard Davis, LeRoy, MN; step children, Randy Collett, Terry Collett, Donald Collett, all of Rochester, MN; Debra Collett, Chatfield, MN; Wanda Collett, Cheyenne, WY; Scott Collett, Jodi Collett, Kevin Collett, Elizabeth (Jim) Walker, all of Austin, MN; and 15 step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters.
