SUSAN KAY WOOLISON
Susan Kay Woolison, age 56, of Dodge Center, passed away at her home on June 17th, 2015.
A pot luck celebration of Susan’s life will be held at her home, 16412 660th St, Dodge Center, Saturday, September 26th, beginning at 5:00 PM, concluding with an evening campfire with entertainment.
Susan was born in Owatonna, MN on August 9th, 1958 to Lawrence and Janet (Moe) Woolison. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Susan loved growing up on the farm and loved being outdoors. She loved to hunt and fish. After High School, Susan attended the Rochester Area Vocational Technical Institute and graduated from the Horticulture Program. She worked many years as the Nursery Manager for Whiting’s Nursery. Susan also worked for many floral shops in the area where she created beautiful arrangements for special occasions. She was a very talented landscaper and musician. Susan loved playing and singing in a live band for several years. She was a hard worker who put her heart and soul in every project she did. Susan spent her last years on her farm where she could look out on the beautiful land and enjoy visits from many friends and family.
Susan is survived by her mother Janet of St. Peter; dear loved ones Jessica, Mason, and Madison Maes of Denver, Colorado; brother Jerry (Midge) Woolison of Dodge Center; sisters Rita (Eric) Olson of St. Peter, Cheryl (Dennis) Grems of Cleveland, Michelle (Shane) Anderson of North Mankato, and Jodi Benda of Dodge Center. Susan was a wonderful and fun Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Susan is also survived by many cousins and friends which she loved spending time with. She will be missed by many.
Susan was preceded in death by her father Lawrence, stepmother Elaine, and the love of her life, David Roshon. Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Dodge Center assisted with arrangements.
