SVITLANA TAMARA KOWAL

Svitlana Tamara Kowal, nee Melnyk, 61, of Hayfield, MN passed away at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield on July 4, 2018.

Svitlana was born on June 23, 1957, the daughter of the late Anatolij and Raissa (Hraur) Melnyk in Philadelphia, PA.

Svitlana is survived by her mother, Raissa; sisters, Lilia Knight (Jim); Nadia K. Gibbons (Rick); brothers, Ihor Melnyk (Lydia) and Walter Melnyk (Roberta); and nephews, Christopher, Travis, Andrew, Roman, Olek, Bohdon and Yuri.

She attended Cheltenham High School in PA and traveled the country always working in the food/service industry. She loved life and loved people. Svitlana spent her last years in Hayfield, MN where the generosity and love of the people enveloped her and suited her positive personality. Her final year was spent at Field Crest Care Center surrounded by people who took loving care of her. Her positive spirit was a wonderful example for us all! She will be missed! "One day at a time!"  Inurnment was July 13, 2018, at Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield.  Blessed be her memory. Vichnaya Pamyat.
