Sylvia Antonia Wells

Sylvia Antonia Wells, 83, of Kasson, MN passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at the Seasons Hospice House in Rochester, MN.

Sylvia was born on February 26, 1937 in Wrangell, AK to Burton and Ruby (Everson) Brouillard. After graduation in 1955, she went to Seattle where she met Alvin Raygor. They married in 1957 and together they had three children, Alan, Christine and Carol. Sylvia spent years as a hard working farm wife and also worked many years at Seneca Foods in Rochester where her nickname was 'Silver'.

After Alvin's passing in 2000, she retired from Seneca Foods. After retirement from Seneca, she went to Alaska to stay with family for the summer. During that time, she re-acquainted with an old high school friend, Eugene 'Skip' Wells. Romance bloomed and they were married on Valentine's day of 2004. They lived there until his death in 2011, when she moved to Kasson.

Sylvia enjoyed life, especially the Senior Center, crocheting, playing cards, going to the casino and watching memorable movies and TV shows. She was very proud of her Alaska native heritage and loved the Wrangell July 4 ^th celebrations.

Sylvia is survived by her son, Alan Raygor of Kasson, MN; daughter, Christine (James) Foote of Kasson, MN; daughter-in-law, Debbie Cook of Rochester, MN; grandchildren, Lindsey DuPay, Joe Raygor, Katie Peterson, Susan Bronk, Burton Foote, Brian Foote, Tina Schultz, Tanya Starkson; 12 great-grandchildren; and a very special neighbor, Linda Jennings of Kasson, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, daughter Carol and three brothers.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2020 with a memorial service starting at 7 p.m. at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes 801 7 ^th St SE in Kasson. Pastor Keith Mercer of the Douglas United Methodist Church will be officiating. A private family burial will be at Center Grove Cemetery in Douglas, MN.
