THELMA ANNA WULF

Thelma Anna Wulf, 93, of Dodge Center, MN passed away on July 19, 2017, at Prairie Meadows (Memory Care Unit) in Kasson, MN.

Thelma was born January 10, 1924, in Saint Marys Hospital, Rochester, MN to August K. and Anna A. (Maass) Marquardt.

Thelma was united in marriage with Maurice E. Wulf on April 4, 1943, at the Grace Lutheran Church parsonage in Dodge Center.

She attended Wasioja School (District 20) for grades 1 through 8, and graduated from Dodge Center High School in 1942.

Thelma was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Dodge Center. She worked in the grocery section of Knowlton's Department Store in Rochester, MN during the period between high school graduation and her marriage in April 1943. She then worked with her husband on their farm northeast of Dodge Center until May 1978, when they retired because of Maurice's health problems.

Her interests included cooking, baking, canning, reading, and gardening. In later years travel was added to this list. She enjoyed road trips whether in the local region or across country. The longer trips always included visits to relatives and lots of sightseeing.

Thelma also got much enjoyment from attending the Triton School band and choir concerts and plays which her grandnieces and grandnephews participated.

Survivors include her daughter, Maurine Wulf, Dodge Center, her brother, Ralph Marquardt, Dodge Center and many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice in March 2000, her brother, Oscar Marquardt, and her parents.

The family wishes to express their appreciation for the loving care given to Thelma while she resided at St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault and Prairie Meadows in Kasson.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to donor's choice.

Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 25 South Street in Dodge Center, MN and one hour before the service at the church on Monday.

The funeral service for Thelma Wulf will be 10:30 a.m. July 24, 2017, at Grace Lutheran Church, 404 Central Avenue North and Hwy Street with Reverend Timothy Chase officiating. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery in Wasioja, MN.
