VERA BEATRICE JUSTICE
The funeral service for Vera Beatrice Justice will 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at Grace Lutheran Church, 404 Central Avenue North in Dodge Center, MN with Reverend Timothy Chase officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Tuesday.
Vera Beatrice Lark was born on June 16, 1919, in Ogden, IA, the daughter of Harry and Mary (Jons) Lark. She graduated from Ogden Iowa High School, attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, IA, and Drake University in Des Moines, IA. Vera taught in rural schools in Boone, County, IA for 8 years and taught a combination of 5th and 6th grades at Woodside School in Des Moines for 4 years.
Vera married Wayne Justice on April 9, 1948, in Des Moines, IA. They moved to Dodge Center, MN in 1957. He died on November 28, 2007. She worked as a Postal Clerk in Dodge Center for 20 years.
Mrs. Justice was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Dodge Center, where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was also a Girl Scout leader for several years.
After retirement she spent the winter months with her husband in Edinburg, TX for 23 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Diane Justice, Arlington, VA; Sara (Rick) Ross, Eden Prairie, MN; one son, Dr. Michael (Pamela) Justice, Dodge MN; four grandchildren, Anna and David Ross and Megan and Matthew Justice. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Elaine Thiessen. Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Dodge Center assisted with arrangements.
