Wayne Wesley Klinger

Wayne Wesley Klinger, 78, of Dodge Center, MN passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, July 26, 2020.

Wayne was born on October 13, 1941 in Waseca, MN to Harold and Selma (Stamereilers) Klinger.  He worked at Aconite, Mueller Pipeline, and Rochester Service.  He married Jan Knudson on March 11, 1972.  He enjoyed working outside mowing lawns, welding, and tinkering with his tractors and lawn equipment.  Wayne also enjoyed collecting caps and antique toy tractors.  He loved listening to classic country music.

Wayne is survived by his former spouse, Jan Klinger of Dodge Center; brother, Ken (Linda) Klinger; five children, Kelly (Paul) Kvale, Gayle (Gwen) Klinger, Glenn (Miki) Klinger, Kisha (Juan) Flores, and Karla (Roger) Klinger; nine grandchildren, Blake (Kaylyn) Klinger, Seth Klinger, Skyler (Drew) Klinger, Angelina Rocha, Austin (Kylee) Klinger, Alex Rocha, Ari Perea, Kaiya Huntsman, and Joey Perea; three children from a previous marriage, Karen, Kris, and Kevin.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald Klinger.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Mayo Clinic, Mary Brigh 8-G for all of the wonderful care Wayne received.

A private graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center, MN.  A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held at his house, 508 1 ^st St NW in Dodge Center, MN on Thursday, July 30, 2020 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Due to the current health concerns and restrictions, please respect social distancing.
