WILLIAM PATRICK BARTLETT, SR.
William Patrick Bartlett, Sr. 72, of Dodge Center, MN passed away on September 15, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, St. Mary's Campus.
William was born on March 17, 1945, in Ardmore, OK. He graduated from West Concord High School in 1963. He was previously married to Rhonda Montgomery and they had one child together. On March 9, 1974, Pat was united in marriage to Valerie Rave.
William was employed at McNeilus Truck for 35 years and was a member of the Dodge Center Airport Board, Dodge Center City Council, and a member of the bands "Mid-Americans" and "Village Tavern Masters." He received an Engineer Award in (2013) for being the Employee of the Year by the National Waste & Recycling Assocication. Pat also took great pride in the 19 patents he had registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, for designing hydraulics on trucks. His hobbies were flying airplanes, riding motorcycles, camping, playing music, attending pow wows, and spending time with his family.
William is survived by his wife, Valerie Bartlett of Dodge Center, MN; four children, Stevanna Barnes of Blaine, MN; Heather Rave, Roy Bartlett, and William Bartlett, Jr. all of Dodge Center, MN; fourteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Caryl Nelson; brothers, Scott Nelson and Grant Nelson.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 25 South Street SW in Dodge Center and one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at Faith Community Church, 305 State Street, West Concord, MN 55985 with John Spreiter officiating.
Interment will be in Concord Cemetery in West Concord, MN.
