WILLIAM "BILL" LAWRENCE KEIM
William "Bill" Lawrence Keim, age 87, of West Concord passed away April 12, 2013, at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center.
Born June 15, 1925, in Sleepy Eye, MN the son of Henry & Catherine (Tauer) Keim. He served in the Army during World War II and then returned to Sleepy Eye where he worked as a farm laborer and mechanic in the New Ulm area. He retired from American Art Stone where he was a welder for several years. He spent the past several years in the West Concord area to be near his granddaughter, Lisa Rosenau, who helped care for him. He had the privilege of taking The Honor Flight to Washington, DC three years ago which was a rewarding experience for him.
He is survived by 5 children: Randy Keim of Sleepy Eye, MN; Rita Geiger of Georgia; Linda Slaydon, William Keim Jr., and Thomas Keim all of Louisiana. Ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Inga, one sister and three brothers.
A graveside service with military honors will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at 11:30 a.m.
Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.
