William "Bill" Norris Worden

William “Bill” N. Worden, age 79, of Hayfield. MN passed away on September 27, 2023 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Methodist Campus following a brief illness. Bill was born in Albany, CA to Elmer and Mary (McGill) Worden. He grew up in Dodge Center, Mn and worked for McNeilus Steel driving truck for 40 years. Bill retired from McNeilus in 2014. He proudly served in the U. S. Navy for four years and was honorably discharged. He married Shirley Monson on May 24, 1971 and together they had three daughters, Stacy, Bridget, and Cassidy. Bill enjoyed going camping, his hobby farm, fishing and bow hunting. He enjoyed riding horses and taught his children how to ride horses as well. Bill also enjoyed teaching his daughters how to drive a stick shift, drive a tractor and other skills he had learned over his lifetime. He was a man with great patience. He loved attending his kids and grandkids events.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mary Worden; his wife, Shirley in 2015; his brother and sisters; mother and father-in-law; and two brothers-in-law.

He is survived by his children, Stacy Hynes of San Francisco, CA, Bridget (Peter) Hubbard of Sauk Centre, MN and Cassidy (Randy) Rieck of Hayfield, MN; his grandchildren, Cody (Morgan), Abbigail, Addison and great grandchild, Ben.

Private family burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Hayfield, MN.
